The SCT designed and supplied Korea POSCO Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate Project with capacity of 2×2.15 TPA held its grand completion ceremony on 29th Nov, 2024. Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duck-soo attended the ceremony and gave his speech on Korea’s outlook of new energy industry, expressing congratulations on the success of the very first lithium refinery project’s production and high-quality product achieved. 
 

SCT was especially mentioned as a Chinese well-known engineering design institute in POSCO Chairman’s speech, and all contractors were appreciated for making contribution and taking efforts. POSCO production train was completed on 29th Nov, 2023 and the Conventional production train on 29th Nov, 2024. Significantly, the Conventional production train’s throughput has reached 70% of its design capacity even less than 3 months after it’s been put into production, and the quality is approved and accepted by the client. This project is also SCT’s first overseas whole industrial chain Lithium Hydroxide project, which started from the first talk in 2019, went through contract negotiation in May 2021, during COVID, and project groundbreaking ceremony. With the whole efforts from SCT, the project received great success and SCT element is proudly injected into Korea’s new energy industry. In the middle of the ceremony, SCT was the only contractor who was awarded with the special honor of a Thank-You Letter from the general manager of the project.
